Shape, Colour and Size Mat for Bee-Bot and Blue-Bot

Early maths vocabulary and early coding, on the one grid. Squares are marked with shapes in a range of colours and sizes, so the instruction you give the class can be as simple as "drive to a red shape" or as demanding as "drive to the small blue triangle without crossing a square with a circle on it".

That second kind of task is where the mat earns its keep: children have to hold an attribute in mind while they plan a sequence of moves, which is far more work than pointing at the right answer. Good for Prep through to Year 2, and suitable from age 3.
