The Hitec HS-805BB is a giant-scale servo delivering up to 343 oz-in of torque at 6V, making it a powerhouse for large robotics builds, heavy-duty pan-tilt mechanisms, and oversized RC applications. Dual ball bearings and heavy-duty nylon gears ensure smooth, reliable operation under load.

Comes with a Y-harness, three mega horn options, and full mounting hardware. The D1 heavy-duty spline provides a solid connection to the included horns.

Key Features

  • 343 oz-in Torque (6V) – Serious holding and driving power for large mechanisms
  • Dual Ball Bearings – Smooth rotation and extended lifespan
  • Heavy-Duty Nylon Gears – Durable under sustained loads
  • 3-Pole Ferrite Motor – Reliable, high-torque drive
  • D1 Heavy-Duty Spline – Secure horn connection
  • 180° Rotation – Standard servo range

Specifications

  • Voltage: 4.8–6.0V
  • Torque: 274 oz-in (4.8V) / 343 oz-in (6.0V)
  • Speed: 0.19 sec/60° (4.8V) / 0.14 sec/60° (6.0V)
  • Pulse Range: 1500–1900 µs (clockwise)
  • Dimensions: 66 × 30 × 57.6 mm
  • Wire Length: 300 mm
  • Weight: 152 g
Note: This servo can draw around 800 mA under load. Plan your power supply accordingly.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

servo
A servo is a motor with built-in position control, usually told to move to a specific angle by a control signal. It matters when you need repeatable movement, such as steering, arms, flaps, or linkages, rather than continuous spinning.
Torque
A twisting force that causes something to rotate, usually measured in newton-metres or kilogram-centimetres. It matters when choosing motors, servos, gears, and tools because higher torque is needed to lift heavier loads, turn larger wheels, or move mechanisms without stalling.
