A re-programmable USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) cable that converts any PD-capable USB-C power adapter into a configurable DC barrel jack output. Programme the built-in PD sink negotiation chip to request 5 V, 7 V, 9 V, 10 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 20 V at up to 2 A — replacing the need for multiple wall adapters with different voltage outputs.
The cable terminates in a 5.5 mm outer / 2.5 mm inner barrel jack that also fits 2.1 mm sockets. One metre long with a Velcro cable tie included. Reprogramming is done via the included programmer dongle and Windows software.
Key Features
- Re-Programmable PD Sink – Configure output to 5 V, 7 V, 9 V, 10 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 20 V
- Up to 2 A Output – Negotiates power from any USB-C PD source adapter
- DC Barrel Jack Output – 5.5 × 2.5 mm tip (also fits 2.1 mm sockets)
- 1 Metre Length – Practical cable length with Velcro tie for tidy storage
- Programmer Dongle Included – Reprogram voltage settings via Windows software

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DC barrel jack
- A round power connector commonly used for low-voltage DC power supplies, often described by its outer and inner diameters such as 5.5 x 2.1 mm. Matching the barrel size and polarity is important so the plug physically fits and powers the device correctly.
- USB Type-C
- A reversible USB connector used for power and data on many modern devices. On this kit it indicates an alternate 5V power input, which may be useful for setup or charging without the solar panel.
- USB-C
- A modern reversible USB connector used for power and data connections. On this product it matters because it can connect directly to a computer as well as to a microcontroller project.
