This compact, certified wireless module is designed for integration into custom PCBs and microcontroller products. It combines the Infineon CYW43439 chipset with single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Bluetooth 5.2 Classic + LE, using a SISO architecture with integrated PA, LNA and a shared 2.4 GHz antenna.
Using a pre-certified radio module helps reduce RF design complexity and the number of external components needed for wireless connectivity. It is suited to OEM and embedded designs where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth need to be added without starting the radio design from scratch.
The module uses a low-pin-count gSPI host interface and provides three host-controlled GPIOs for extra I/O flexibility. It is supplied in a 21-pad castellated package for mounting to your own board and is compatible with the Raspberry Pi Pico SDK.
Features:
- Chipset: Infineon CYW43439 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth combo chipset
- Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), 2.4 GHz band only, up to 96 Mbps PHY data rate
- Bluetooth: Bluetooth 5.2 (Classic + BLE), ~100 m range (Class 1), ~10 m range (Class 2)
- RF integration: Integrated PA, LNA, and shared 2.4 GHz antenna
- Host interface: low-pin-count gSPI
- Additional I/O: 3 host-controlled GPIOs
- Software compatibility: Raspberry Pi Pico SDK
- Certification: Full modular certifications (radio/regulatory)
- Production lifetime: Guaranteed production until at least January 2036

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- BLE
- BLE stands for Bluetooth Low Energy, a Bluetooth mode designed for lower power use and modern phone compatibility. It matters because BLE support can make the module easier to use with Apple devices and battery-powered projects, though it may behave differently from classic serial Bluetooth.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
- RF
- RF means radio frequency, referring to signals used for wireless communication and other high-frequency electronics. A low-noise, stable power supply is important for RF circuits because power noise can affect signal quality and measurements.
