Build a neater, sturdier Raspberry Pi stack with this hardware kit for mounting a standard Pi HAT. It is designed for Raspberry Pi 3, 4 and 5 boards, including builds where a larger cooling fan or heat sink needs extra clearance.
The included tall 2x20 pin female GPIO header raises the HAT above the Pi, helping clear on-board components and cooling hardware. Four 16mm aluminium hex standoffs and eight M2.5 Philips head machine screws provide a more rigid assembly than typical nylon hardware.
This is a handy all-in-one mounting set for maker projects, prototypes and more permanent Raspberry Pi builds where a clean, stable HAT installation matters.
Features:
- HAT mounting: Mounts any standard Pi HAT onto a compatible Raspberry Pi.
- Cooling clearance: Helps create clearance over bulky cooling fans or heat sinks.
- Tall GPIO connection: Includes a tall 2x20 pin female GPIO header to lift the HAT.
- Rigid assembly: Aluminium standoffs and machine screws provide a firm mechanical connection.
- All-in-one kit: Provides the hardware needed for a clean, professional assembly.
Specifications:
- Compatible Raspberry Pi models: Raspberry Pi 3, 4, or 5
- HAT compatibility: Any standard Pi HAT
- GPIO header: Tall 2x20 pin female GPIO header
- Standoffs: Four durable 16mm aluminum hex standoffs
- Screws: Eight M2.5 Philips head machine screws
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- GPIO
- General-purpose input/output pins are microcontroller pins you can set in software to read signals, switch devices on and off, or connect to peripherals. The number of GPIO pins matters because it limits how many buttons, LEDs, sensors, and other parts you can wire directly to the board.
- M2.5
- A metric screw thread size with a 2.5 mm nominal diameter. It matters for mounting because screws, standoffs, and holes must use the same size to fit securely without damaging the board.
