Reviews of Raspberry Pi 5

I used to work just up the road from these guys and they have always had all the unique bits and pieces I've needed for various projects. Imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to receive an order within 24hrs of placing it on December 29! Stock availability, price and overall service is simply second to none with Little Bird and I'm glad I always come to them first. Equally impressive is the photo taken of all the ordered components prior to packing them up, which serves as reassurance for me that I will received what I ordered and it guards them from any customers who are either mistaken/confused about their order or simply dodgy and trying to pull a fast one. So, many thanks for the rapid delivery on my Pi5 with the POE hat. It's the perfect Tailscale server I needed for my homelab, as I always prefer to have such critical applications running on their own dedicated hardware instead of a VM server. I look forward to making my next purchase from Little Bird again!

I ordered a Raspberry Pi5 online but the webstore was not supposed to accept orders due to significant back order lead times for the 8gb model with the OEM. Ok with this, I called the team only to check the approximate ETA. The guy I spoke with somehow knew 1 or 2 x RPi5's may be available for emergencies that aren't showing in the system. Rather than make excuses for the webstore issue (should've inactivated the 'add to cart' button) and apologising that I'd have to wait - he popped me on hold very briefly to get onto the warehouse, then returned less than a minute later saying my order would be dispatched within the next hour or two! All that just days after the Dec 25 memory chip price rises and global supply shortage no less. I was in no way expecting that outcome and he absolutely didn't have to take that course of action yet sorted me on the spot. What a champion, thanks so much to you and the team!!

The order came through very rapidly from order to arrival... ...but since then the Pi5 has been sitting in the box waiting for me to setup and play around with the also enclosed Pi4. Mind you, I would like to see a silent heatsink available for it as clearly the Pi4 heatsink that I ordered for that one won't fit.

Little Bird gets your Pi to you FAST! Super Sonic Pi! I bought a 16GB RPi5 this time...and won the silicon lottery and got one that happily over-clocks to 3.0GHz and still runs like a dream. I've none-the-less dialed it back down to 2.6GHz for use with the Hailo 8L in my Pironman 5 Max system. Very happy with this RPi5 SBC. :-)
