The Prong Soil Moisture Sensor mounts directly onto a BBC micro:bit to monitor soil moisture levels. Two conductive tines are inserted into the soil — any moisture conducts an analogue voltage that the micro:bit reads on Pin 1, ranging from 0 V (dry) to 3 V (wet).
Powered from the micro:bit's 3 V supply via USB or JST. Attach the board using the included M3 hardware through the P1, 3V, and GND holes, or connect with crocodile clips. Compatible with MakeCode, Python, and other micro:bit editors.
Key Features
- Direct micro:bit Mount – Bolts onto the micro:bit with M3 hardware
- Analogue Output – Reads soil moisture on Pin 1
- 3 V Powered – Runs from the micro:bit's built-in supply
- Mi:Power Compatible – Add a Mi:Power board for standalone operation with audible alarm on P0
- Crocodile Clip Option – Connect without soldering
