Creating large LED grids just got easier with this ready-to-use NeoPixel LED Outdoor Netting! No need to piece together multiple strips—this 40x20 RGB LED matrix delivers a seamless 800-pixel display, all controlled with a single data pin.

Key Features:
  • 800 RGB LEDs arranged in a 40x20 grid, with 50mm (2") spacing in a zig-zag pattern.
  • Simple Data Input – Compatible with SK6812/WS2812/NeoPixel data at 5V logic level (3.3V may work, but we don’t recommend it).
  • 12V Power Supply Required – While lower voltages may light it up, brightness and performance suffer.
  • Power Consumption30mA per LED at full brightness (up to 24A max). For most use cases, 12V 5A is sufficient.

Driving the Display
For the best experience, we recommend our Sparkle Motion board, featuring:
  • ESP32 processor
  • Level-shifted output
  • USB PD & DC input for easy 12V supply
  • Compatible with WLED for quick setup
However, any controller capable of driving 800 NeoPixels will work!
Indoor & Outdoor Use
This LED netting is outdoor-friendly, but not waterproof. Avoid submerging it in water, and if exposed to harsh weather, bring it indoors. It also lacks UV resistance, so avoid long-term direct sunlight exposure.

Mounting & Expansion
  • Multiple attachment points – Plastic rings on the top & bottom, plus plastic-coated wire loops on the sides.
  • Easily tile multiple grids together for larger displays.
A bright, flexible, and easy-to-install LED solution for events, stage setups, holiday decorations, and dynamic light installations!

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

ESP32
ESP32 is a family of microcontroller modules with built-in wireless features such as Bluetooth and WiFi. Knowing this product uses an ESP32-based module helps explain how it provides wireless serial communication and firmware update features.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
NeoPixel
A type of addressable LED system where colour data is sent along a single digital data line from one LED or controller to the next. Compatibility matters because the timing and signal format must match for the lights or driver board to respond correctly.
RGB
Short for red, green and blue, usually referring to an LED that can mix those three colours. It matters because controlling an RGB LED teaches how separate outputs combine to create different colours.
