This P-channel MOSFET is designed for efficient power management and load switching in compact electronics projects. With a 30V drain-source rating and 3.8A continuous drain current rating, it is suited to controlling higher-power loads from a low-power control signal.
Its low gate threshold voltage makes it logic-level compatible, so it can be driven directly from 3V–5V microcontrollers such as Arduino or ESP32 boards, or from a mechanical switch. The low on-resistance helps reduce losses when switching loads.
The DMP3099L-7 is a surface-mount component for PCB assembly and integration into custom designs.
Features:
- P-channel MOSFET: For power management and load-switching applications

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- capacitance
- Capacitance is the amount of electrical charge a capacitor can store, usually measured in farads such as uF. Choosing the right capacitance value matters because it affects how well a circuit filters power, handles timing, or stores short bursts of energy.
- ESP32
- ESP32 is a family of low-cost microcontroller chips and modules from Espressif with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. They support programmable firmware and over-the-air updates, and are commonly programmed with toolchains such as the Arduino core and ESP-IDF.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a single chip that runs a stored program and controls connected inputs and outputs such as buttons, sensors, displays and communication interfaces. In a device built around one, it is the part that executes the code and coordinates the device's behaviour.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
- Power dissipation
- Power dissipation is electrical energy being turned into heat inside a component. It matters because too much heat can reduce efficiency, affect reliability, or require a larger component or better cooling.
