The M1600HCT-P-SMA is a dual-band passive antenna that combines Iridium satellite communication with L1 GNSS reception (GPS and GLONASS) in a single compact unit. Ideal for tracking devices that transmit their position over the Iridium network.

Weighing just 11 grams with a built-in O-ring, the antenna achieves IP67 weather resistance when seated against an SMA bulkhead connection. Designed for reliable performance when orientation is random, in harsh environments, or when mounted externally near other antennas.

Key Features

  • Dual-Band – Iridium satellite + L1 GNSS (GPS/GLONASS) in one antenna
  • Passive Design – No power required
  • IP67 Capable – Weather resistant with built-in O-ring (when bulkhead mounted)
  • Lightweight – Only 11 grams
  • SMA Connector – Standard SMA connection
  • Orientation Independent – Reliable reception regardless of mounting angle

Ideal For

  • Iridium-based asset and vehicle tracking
  • Remote environmental monitoring
  • Marine and outdoor applications
  • Harsh environment deployments

Package Contents

  • 1× M1600HCT-P-SMA Iridium/GPS/GLONASS Passive Antenna

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

GLONASS
Russia’s satellite navigation system. A receiver that can also use GLONASS has more satellites to choose from, which can improve positioning reliability when the sky view is partly blocked.
GNSS
GNSS stands for Global Navigation Satellite System, covering positioning systems such as GPS and similar satellite networks. It matters here because high-precision GNSS modules can output lots of serial position data that this product can send wirelessly to a computer or phone.
GPS
The US satellite navigation system used by GNSS receivers to calculate position and time. Support for GPS is important because it is widely available and often used together with other constellations for more reliable positioning.
IP67
An ingress protection rating meaning the enclosure is dust-tight and can survive temporary immersion in water under specified test conditions. This matters when choosing a sensor for outdoor, wet, or wash-down environments.
SMA
A threaded coaxial connector commonly used for antennas. It matters because you need antennas with matching SMA connectors, or suitable adapters, for the LTE and GNSS antenna ports.
