This illuminated latching push button combines a tactile switch with a built-in yellow indicator LED, making it easy to add clear on/off control to interactive electronics and educational prototypes.
When the button is pressed down, the module self-locks, outputs High and lights the LED. Pressing it again releases the latch, outputs Low and turns the LED off, giving simple visual feedback for panels, interfaces and debugging.
It provides a straightforward digital output for Arduino, micro:bit and other small embedded boards, and supports common 3.3–5V logic systems. The Gravity-style PH2.0 3-pin connector helps keep wiring quick for classroom builds and maker projects.
Included in the pack are 1 x Gravity: LED Switch and 1 x Digital Sensor Connector.
Features:
- Internal LED turns On when the button is pressed down
Specifications:
- Operating Voltage: +3.3-5V (3.3V is recommended)
- Output: digital
- Connector: PH2.0-3P
- Dimension: 27×26.5mm
- Colors Available: red, yellow, green, blue, white
Suitable for interactive switch panels, illuminated keyboard prototypes, music player controls, recording triggers, educational electronics experiments and physical computing projects.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Gravity
- Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
