This compact illuminated push-button module combines a tactile switch with a built-in green LED indicator, making it handy for interactive electronics, control panels and classroom builds.
It uses a self-locking toggle action rather than a momentary press. Press the button once and the output goes High while the LED turns on; press it again and the output goes Low while the LED turns off.
The module works with 3.3–5V logic systems and provides a digital output for micro:bit, Arduino and other microcontroller boards. A Gravity PH2.0-3P connector keeps wiring simple for quick prototyping.
The pack includes 1 x Gravity LED Switch and 1 x Digital Sensor Connector.
Features:
- LED indicator automatically lights when the button is pressed
- Self-locking push-button mechanism provides toggle-style control
- Digital signal output compatible with common microcontroller platforms
- Multiple LED colour options: red, yellow, green, blue, and white
- Gravity PH2.0-3P connector enables easy plug-and-play wiring
Specifications:
- Operating Voltage: +3.3-5V (3.3V is recommended)
- Output: digital
- Connector: PH2.0-3P
- Dimension: 27×26.5mm
- Colors Available: red, yellow, green, blue, white
Typical uses include interactive control panels, backlit keyboard prototypes, music player controls, recording panels, robotics user inputs and STEM education electronics projects.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Gravity
- Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a single chip that runs a stored program and controls connected inputs and outputs such as buttons, sensors, displays and communication interfaces. In a device built around one, it is the part that executes the code and coordinates the device's behaviour.
