This compact GPS puck antenna is designed for surface mounting directly to a PCB, making it a neat option for embedded GPS designs where space is limited.
The antenna measures 16mm in diameter and 6.05mm high, with a GPS frequency range of 1565MHz ~ 1585MHz. It uses RHCP polarisation and a 50 Ohms unbalanced feed point impedance.
Supplier documentation includes a datasheet and mechanical drawing for layout and integration reference.
Specifications:
- Frequency Range: 1565MHz ~ 1585MHz

- Polarization: RHCP (right-hand circular)
- Power Handling: 10 Watt cw
- Feed Point Impedance: 50 Ohms unbalanced
- Diameter: 16mm
- Height: 6.05mm
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- GPS
- The US satellite navigation system used by GNSS receivers to calculate position and time. Support for GPS is important because it is widely available and often used together with other constellations for more reliable positioning.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
