A pack of two 14-segment alphanumeric LED displays in blue, each with a 0.54" (13.7 mm) digit height. These displays can show letters, numbers, and select symbols, making them suitable for clocks, status indicators, and text-based readouts.

Each display features bright blue segments on a black face, visible from up to 7 metres away at 15 mcd typical brightness. The 18-pin layout (9 per side) uses standard 2.54 mm (0.1") spacing for easy breadboard insertion.

Key Features

  • 14-Segment Alphanumeric – Displays full alphabet, numbers, and symbols
  • Blue LEDs – 15 mcd typical brightness, visible up to 7 m
  • 0.54" Digit Height – Clear, readable characters
  • Breadboard Compatible – 2.54 mm (0.1") pin spacing, 9 pins per side
  • Adjustable Brightness – Reduce current for lower power or run at 20 mA for maximum brightness

Ideal For

  • Clocks and timers
  • Status displays and dashboards
  • Scrolling text projects
  • Breadboard prototyping with microcontrollers
Note: This product includes two bare alphanumeric displays only — no driver or backpack is included. An I2C backpack is available separately for easier control. Blue shade may not colour-match other blue 7-segment displays due to manufacturing differences.

Package Contents

  • 2× Blue 14-Segment Alphanumeric Displays (0.54" digit height)

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

I2C
I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
