This compact surface-mount DIP switch provides 8 individual switch positions for adding simple, user-selectable controls to a PCB.
Each position is an SPST slide switch, making it suitable for general control switching in embedded projects, configuration inputs, mode selection and similar low-current applications.
The part uses gull wing terminations for surface-mount assembly and has epoxy sealed terminals with a tape seal, making it suitable for washable board processes where required.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DIP switch
- A DIP switch is a small set of physical on/off switches used to configure hardware settings without software. It matters because changing features such as auto power-on or charging limits may require moving these tiny switches correctly.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
