This is a basic diffused green LED in a surface-mount package, suitable for compact indicator, status and display applications where a through-hole LED would take up too much space.
It uses a diffused white rectangular flat-top lens for a soft green output and a wide viewing angle. The small SMD footprint makes it a handy choice for custom PCBs, repairs, prototypes and low-profile electronics builds.
A datasheet is available from the manufacturer for PCB footprint and handling details.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
- SMD
- SMD means surface-mount device, a component style designed to be soldered directly onto the surface of a circuit board rather than through holes. SMD parts are compact and mounted flat on the board, which suits smaller and mass-produced designs.
- through-hole
- A mounting style where the component leads pass through holes in a circuit board and are soldered on the other side. Through-hole parts are often easier to handle and solder by hand, which is useful for classroom and hobby projects.
- wavelength
- The distance between repeating peaks of a wave, often used to describe the colour of light in nanometres. For visible lasers and LEDs, wavelength tells you the approximate colour, such as red, green or blue.
