The W3062A is a low-profile ceramic chip antenna from Pulse Electronics, suited to compact RF designs where board space is tight.
It operates across a 1.565GHz ~ 1.585GHz frequency range with a 1.575GHz centre frequency, using a single-band chip antenna format.
The antenna is designed for surface-mount assembly with solder termination, making it suitable for integration directly onto a PCB. A datasheet is available for layout and implementation details.
Specifications:
- Frequency Group: UHF (1HGz ~ 2GHz)
- Frequency (Center/Band): 1.575GHz
- Frequency Range: 1.565GHz ~ 1.585GHz
- Antenna Type: Chip
- Number of Bands: 1
- Return Loss: -10dB
- Gain: 2.5dBi
- Termination: Solder
- Mounting Type: Surface Mount
- Operating Temperature: -40°C - +85°C
- Impedance: 50Ω
- Dimensions: 7 x 1.6 x 1.6mm
A compact option for RF products that need a small surface-mount antenna in the 1.575GHz band.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
- RF
- RF means radio frequency, referring to signals used for wireless communication and other high-frequency electronics. A low-noise, stable power supply is important for RF circuits because power noise can affect signal quality and measurements.
