Brass heat-set inserts provide strong, reusable threaded connections in 3D-printed and injection-moulded plastic parts. Each insert has a knurled outer surface that grips the surrounding plastic when pressed in with a heated soldering iron, and an M3 internal thread that accepts standard machine screws.

Using heat-set inserts instead of screwing directly into plastic gives a much stronger joint that can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly without stripping. They're an inexpensive way to add professional-quality fastening points to your enclosures, brackets, and housings.

Key Features

  • M3 Internal Thread – Accepts standard M3 machine screws
  • Knurled Outer Surface – Grips plastic securely when heat-pressed
  • Brass Construction – Durable, corrosion-resistant, and reusable
  • 4 mm Length – Suitable for typical 3D-printed wall thicknesses
  • 50-Pack – Enough for multiple projects

Specifications

  • Thread – M3
  • Length – 4 mm
  • Material – Brass
  • Quantity – 50 pieces

Ideal For

  • 3D-printed enclosures, brackets, and housings
  • Injection-moulded plastic assemblies
  • Any project requiring reusable threaded fastening in plastic
Tip: Use a dedicated heat-set insert tip on your soldering iron for best results. A plain iron tip can work but makes it difficult to insert straight, risking damage to your print.

Package Contents

  • 50× Brass Heat-Set Inserts (M3 × 4 mm)
