A charming fox-shaped wearable LED badge featuring 12 coloured LEDs and 12 light patterns. The Bearables Fox Badge is sewable, hackable, and wearable — perfect for e-textile projects and creative wearables.

Attach the badge using thread (normal or conductive), a safety pin, a small disc magnet, or double-sided sticky tape. Connect it to compatible Bearables analog sensors with conductive thread to add interactivity.

Key Features

  • 12 Coloured LEDs – Blue, green, yellow, orange, red, and pink
  • 12 Light Patterns – Cycle through patterns with the multi-functional button
  • Multi-Functional Button – Mode change, sleep mode, and trigger mode
  • PIC16F1503 MicrocontrollerDatasheet
  • Two Sewable Hooks – Connect to Bearables sensors with conductive thread
  • Battery Life – 3–4 days with a CR2032 coin cell
  • Dimensions – 47 × 35 × 5 mm (L × W × H)

How to Use

  • Cycle Patterns – Press the button briefly to move through the 12 light patterns
  • Sleep Mode – Press and hold the button to put the badge to sleep
  • Trigger Mode – With a sensor connected, press and hold the button to enable trigger mode; the LEDs respond when the sensor is activated
  • Connecting Sensors – Connect one hook on the badge to one hook on the sensor with conductive thread, then repeat for the other two hooks (polarity doesn't matter)

Ideal For

  • Wearable electronics and e-textile projects
  • Kids aged 8+ learning about circuits
  • Creative wearables and costumes

Package Contents

  • 1× Fox badge with 12 LEDs (multi-coloured)
  • 1× CR2032 3V coin cell battery
  • 1× Sticker sheet
Note: Bearables badges and sensors are not waterproof or washable. Ensure conductive thread connections do not touch when fabric is creased or folded. A dab of clear nail varnish on the thread around the hook can improve connection reliability. Contains small parts — not suitable for children 3 years or younger. Keep battery out of reach of children.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

conductive thread
Thread made with metal or other conductive fibres so it can carry electricity while being sewn into fabric. It matters for wearable and textile projects because it can replace wire, but it has more resistance than normal hookup wire.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
Matter
A smart home connectivity standard designed to let devices work across different ecosystems. It matters if you want a project to integrate more easily with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, or other Matter-compatible systems.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
Thread
A low-power wireless mesh networking standard designed for smart home and IoT devices. It matters because Thread devices can relay messages through each other, helping build reliable networks for sensors and controllers.
