Heard about locksport and want to try it for yourself? It's a fun hobby you can pick up easily (ha!). It's like a Rubik's cube but you have to work by feel alone. And all you need to get started is a lock and a pick-set. We recommend kicking off with our beginner transparent padlock, it's a perfect first lock. Once you've gained confidence you can check your local hardware store (or look through your basement/attic?) for other locks to try.

This Basic Lockpick Set is easy on the budget, but has a range good quality picks and wrenches with rubber foam covers. Simple, but effective - you don't need to spend more!

This set contains two torsion (tension/torque) wrenches and nine lockpicks, including varying hook picks, half-diamond, and a dimple lockpick. They have a nice, grippy handle, so your hold won't slip while you're gleefully picking away.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

Torque
A twisting force that causes something to rotate, usually measured in newton-metres or kilogram-centimetres. It matters when choosing motors, servos, gears, and tools because higher torque is needed to lift heavier loads, turn larger wheels, or move mechanisms without stalling.
