A robust three-cup anemometer with 4–20mA current loop output, ideal for industrial monitoring and control applications. The all-aluminium construction provides excellent weather resistance, while the wear-free rotation technology ensures long-term reliability. Internal circuitry is protected against over-voltage and reverse polarity.

The 4–20mA signal output connects directly to PLCs, RTUs, and data loggers for automated wind speed monitoring. With a measurement range up to 50 m/s and ±3% accuracy, it's suitable for security and control applications in roads, buildings, ski resorts, theme parks, and more.

Key Features

  • 4–20mA Current Loop Output – Direct connection to PLCs, RTUs, and data loggers

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

DC
DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
reverse polarity protection
A circuit feature that helps protect the board if power is connected the wrong way around. It matters because it can reduce the chance of damaging the breakout during wiring mistakes, especially in classroom or prototyping use.
SCADA
SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, a type of system used to monitor and control industrial processes from computers or control rooms. SCADA compatibility matters when a device needs to report to or take commands from such a larger central control or automation setup.
