The Adafruit Radio FeatherWing RFM69HCW @ 900 MHz adds short-to-medium range packet radio to any Feather board. Based on the SX1231 transceiver, this FeatherWing provides FSK packet radio with built-in AES-128 encryption, auto-retransmit, and multipoint networking at 868/915 MHz (software configurable).
With +13 to +20 dBm transmit power (up to 100 mW), the RFM69HCW can reach approximately 500 m line of sight with a simple wire antenna, and potentially up to 5 km with directional antennas and optimised settings. Pair it with a Wi-Fi, cellular, or Bluetooth Feather to bridge 900 MHz radio to the internet.
