The Adafruit Perma-Proto Mint Tin Size Breadboard PCB is shaped to fit perfectly inside a standard Altoids-style mint tin — ideal for compact, enclosed projects. It features 30 rows of 5-hole connected pads in a familiar breadboard layout, plus 80 additional wiring holes around the edges for general connections.
All holes are through-plated with a gold finish — pads won't flake off during rework and won't oxidise like bare copper. The unmasked bottom side lets you cut traces when needed, and 1.2mm drill holes accommodate components with larger leads. Four large mounting holes align with standard mint tin dimensions for secure attachment.
Key Features
- Mint Tin Form Factor – Sized to fit inside a standard Altoids-style tin
- 30-Row Breadboard Layout – 5-hole pad pattern matching standard solderless breadboards
- 80 Extra Wiring Holes – Additional general-purpose holes around the edges
- Through-Plated, Gold-Finished – Durable pads that resist oxidation and survive rework
- White Silkscreen – Row and column markings for easy component placement
- 4 Power Bus Rails – Side-mounted power and ground distribution
- 1.2mm Drill Holes – Fits components with larger leads
- Cuttable Traces – Unmasked bottom side allows easy trace modification
- 4 Mounting Holes – Sized for secure attachment inside a mint tin
Ideal For
- Mint tin and small enclosure projects
- Compact soldered circuit builds
- Transferring breadboard prototypes to a permanent PCB
Also Consider
- Perma-Proto Half-Sized Breadboard PCB – Standard half-size form factor
- Perma-Proto Full-Sized Breadboard PCB – 60-row version for larger projects
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
