The 8" DSI IPS Touch Display delivers a crisp 800×1280 resolution with 10-point capacitive touch, optical bonding, and toughened glass for a durable, responsive interface. The IPS panel provides vivid colours and wide 178° viewing angles.
With the driver circuit integrated into a flexible FPC cable, the display is only 11.6 mm thick. Brightness is software-adjustable, and the display supports both portrait (default) and landscape orientation via software configuration. Compatible with Raspberry Pi (via DSI), ESP32-P4 (LVGL GUI), and various Linux platforms including RK3506 and RK3576.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DSI
- DSI stands for Display Serial Interface, a high-speed connection commonly used to send video data from a computer board to a display. It matters because DSI signals are not simple GPIO wires, so the cable, connector, and signal routing need to match the display interface.
- ESP32
- ESP32 is a family of microcontroller modules with built-in wireless features such as Bluetooth and WiFi. Knowing this product uses an ESP32-based module helps explain how it provides wireless serial communication and firmware update features.
- FPC
- FPC stands for flexible printed circuit, a flat flexible cable or connector style often used where space is tight. It matters because this breakout needs the correct pin count and pitch FPC cable to connect reliably to the display or high-speed interface.
- IPS
- IPS is a type of LCD panel that keeps colours and contrast more consistent when viewed from an angle. This matters for small displays that may be mounted in a dashboard, handheld project, or enclosure where the viewer is not always looking straight on.
- LVGL
- LVGL is an open-source graphics library for building buttons, menus, gauges and other user interfaces on small embedded displays. Support for LVGL matters if you want to create a polished touchscreen interface without drawing every screen element from scratch.
- MIPI
- MIPI is a high-speed display and camera interface often used inside phones, tablets, and embedded devices. It matters because raw MIPI displays usually need special driver hardware or software support, unlike plug-and-play HDMI screens.
- Multi-touch
- Multi-touch means the touchscreen can detect more than one finger contact at the same time. This matters for interfaces that use gestures such as pinch-to-zoom, two-finger scrolling, or on-screen controls used together.
