Add slim purple lighting to models, enclosures and compact electronics with this ultra-thin flexible LED strip from DFRobot. At just 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick, it is designed for tight spaces where a standard LED strip would be too bulky.
The strip uses SMD 0805 LEDs at a density of 60 LEDs per metre for smooth decorative illumination, while running from a 5V supply. It is suitable for low-voltage maker projects and development platforms such as FireBeetle controllers and Arduino.
Each LED segment can be cut individually, making it easy to trim the strip to the length your build needs. One purple 5V flexible LED strip is included.
Features:
- Ultra-slim, 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick
- Can be cut one by one
- 60 LEDs per meter
Specifications:
- Rated Voltage: 5V
- Rated Power: Max 4W
- LED Quantity: 60 LEDs per meter
- Length: 1m (3.28ft.)
- Size: 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick
- LED Type: SMD 0805
- Luminous Color: Purple
A handy lighting strip for model decoration, DIY light boards, smart cars and other miniature builds that need a narrow purple light source.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
- SMD 0805
- SMD 0805 is a small surface-mount component package size, commonly used for tiny LEDs and other parts soldered directly onto a circuit board or flexible strip. It matters because this package helps explain why the strip can be very narrow and fit into tight spaces.
