This ultra-narrow blue LED strip is made for decorative lighting in spaces where standard LED tape is too wide. At just 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick, it can fit into tight channels, miniature models, compact enclosures and detailed maker builds.
The flexible PCB can be gently routed around curves, edges and small gaps, making it useful for scale models, architectural displays, smart toys, robotics accents and DIY light boards. It runs from 5V, so it can be integrated with common maker platforms such as Arduino and FireBeetle when suitable power and control circuitry are used.
The strip uses 60 SMD 0805 LEDs per metre for evenly spaced blue illumination, and it can be cut into individual LED sections for custom lengths. One 5V Flexible LED Strip (60 LEDs) - Blue is included.
Features:
- Ultra-slim, 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick
- Can be cut one by one
- 60 LEDs per meter
Specifications:
- Rated Voltage: 5V
- Rated Power: Max 4W
- LED Quantity: 60 LEDs per meter
- Length: 1m (3.28ft.)
- Size: 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick
- LED Type: SMD 0805
- Luminous Color: Blue
A good fit for model decoration, DIY light boards and compact electronics projects that need slim, low-voltage blue accent lighting.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
- SMD
- SMD means surface-mount device, a component style designed to be soldered directly onto the surface of a circuit board rather than through holes. SMD parts are compact and mounted flat on the board, which suits smaller and mass-produced designs.
- SMD 0805
- SMD 0805 is a small surface-mount package size (roughly 2.0 by 1.25 mm, from the imperial 0.08 by 0.05 inch code) used for many parts such as resistors, capacitors and LEDs that solder directly onto a board rather than through holes. When a part lists 0805, expect a compact component that suits dense or narrow layouts but is fiddly to hand-solder without fine tools.
