5V Electromagnet (3Kg Holding Force)

This compact 5V DC sucker-type electromagnet provides 3kg of holding force at just 1W of power. When energised, the iron core becomes magnetised; when power is removed, the magnetism dissipates quickly. The magnetic polarity can be reversed by swapping the input wires.
Its small size makes it ideal for lightweight locking mechanisms, small-scale automation, and educational projects.

Note: Holding force is not the same as pick-up weight. Divide by 5–10 for an approximate pick-up capacity (~300–600g). Actual performance depends on the contact surface being flat and the object being ferromagnetic steel. The electromagnet can remain energised long-term when attracted to a surface, but should not be powered continuously with no load attached.
