This compact green COB light bar provides bright, even illumination for decorative lighting and small embedded projects. It uses 16 densely packed COB LEDs under silicone encapsulation to create a smooth luminous surface without the dotted look common on traditional LED strips.
It runs from a simple DC 5V supply, making it easy to power from USB adapters, battery packs or embedded electronics power rails. Solderable pads allow the strip to be built into custom lighting assemblies, with support for series or parallel wiring when expanding a layout.
The slim form factor is handy for tight spaces such as cabinets, shelves, wardrobes, stair lighting channels and display installations. For long-term use, attach the LED strip to the included aluminium heat sink to help prevent light decay or LED bead burnout, as it can get hot during operation.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
