The DFRobot 14" 4K IPS Bar Touch Display is a uniquely shaped secondary monitor with a 3.5:1 aspect ratio and 3840×1100 resolution. Designed to sit above or below your main screen, it provides a dedicated space for stock tickers, system monitoring, chat windows, media timelines, or any content that benefits from a wide, narrow viewport.
The full-featured USB-C port carries video, audio, and touch signals over a single cable, and supports reverse PD power delivery to simplify cabling. A Mini HDMI input is also available for devices without USB-C video output. The screen uses optical bonding technology to eliminate air gaps between layers, reducing glare and improving touch responsiveness while protecting against dust ingress.

Resources
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- 6H surface hardness
- 6H is a pencil-hardness rating used to describe how resistant the screen surface is to scratching. A higher hardness rating helps in portable or classroom projects where the display may be touched often or handled roughly.
- HDMI
- HDMI is a common digital video and audio connection used by computers, media players, and many displays. If a display kit has HDMI input, it is usually much easier to test with a single-board computer because it can act like a normal monitor.
- IPS
- IPS is a type of LCD panel that keeps colours and contrast more consistent when viewed from an angle. This matters for small displays that may be mounted in a dashboard, handheld project, or enclosure where the viewer is not always looking straight on.
- Transmittance
- Transmittance describes how much light passes through the display or touch panel layers. Higher transmittance can make the screen appear brighter or clearer for the same backlight power.
- USB-C
- A modern reversible USB connector used for power and data connections. On this product it matters because it can connect directly to a computer as well as to a microcontroller project.
