Backorders and Overseas Stock
Little Bird Electronics sources products from leading makers and suppliers around the world, including Adafruit, SparkFun, Pimoroni, and others. Because of this, some items may occasionally be out of local stock while new shipments are on the way.
How Backorders Work
- If a product is available for backorder, you'll see a "Backorder" option on the product page.
- Place your order as normal. You'll only be charged when the item is ready to ship.
- Your backordered items are included in our next restock shipment from the supplier.
- Once stock arrives at our warehouse, your order is packed and shipped to you.
Estimated Arrival Times
Where available, we display an estimated arrival date on the product page based on supplier lead times and shipping schedules. International shipping and customs can sometimes cause delays, so ETAs may shift. We'll keep you updated by email if there are any significant changes.
Split Shipping
If your order contains a mix of in-stock and backordered items, you can choose split shipping at checkout. This means your in-stock items will be dispatched right away, and backordered items will follow in a separate shipment once they arrive. A separate shipping charge may apply for the second shipment.
