Requires one micro:bit, which is not included - we sell micro:bit boards separately.

Wheel:bit is a three-wheeled robot car students build and then reprogram into whatever the lesson calls for. Bolt a marker to it and it becomes a drawing machine for a geometry or angles unit. Give it a front bumper and it plays robot soccer. Add code and it drives itself, or takes commands over radio from a second micro:bit.

Suitable from about Year 4 or age nine up. The build is quick enough to finish inside one lesson, which leaves the rest of the unit for coding rather than assembly, and it comes apart just as easily for the next class.

Wheel:bit is part of MakeKit's WonderKit range, so its control board and components are shared with other kits including Bubble:bit - useful if you are building a set of projects around one set of spares rather than buying self-contained kits that share nothing.
