Based on a UBX-G7020-KT positioning chip, this USB GPS receiver is designed for low-power, high-sensitivity satellite positioning. It can receive 56-channel satellite signals and is built for faster positioning and stronger reception than traditional GPS receivers.

The receiver includes a built-in antenna and an internal battery for storing satellite data such as signal status, final position and time, helping improve positioning speed on the next boot. Its USB interface makes it straightforward to use with controllers and computers such as Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA platforms and LattePanda.

A 2 metre USB cable is included, and the magnetic base lets the receiver attach easily to metal surfaces. It suits vehicle navigation, handheld positioning, wearable projects and other GPS-enabled applications.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

baud
Baud is the signalling rate of a serial connection, often used as the speed setting for UART communication. Matching the baud rate matters because both connected devices must use the same setting for readable data.
GPS
The US satellite navigation system used by GNSS receivers to calculate position and time. Support for GPS is important because it is widely available and often used together with other constellations for more reliable positioning.
SBAS
Satellite-Based Augmentation System, a set of regional services that broadcast correction information for GNSS receivers. SBAS can improve ordinary GPS-style positioning, although it is not the same as centimetre-level RTK correction.
