Slim tactile momentary switches — the standard input buttons for electronic projects. These are half the width of classic 6mm tactile switches, so they line up neatly on a breadboard when plugged into every other row.
Each switch has two pins that are normally open (disconnected). When pressed, the pins are momentarily closed, making them perfect for user input, resets, and mode selection. They work best soldered onto a PCB but can also be used on a solderless breadboard.
Key Features
- Slim 6mm Profile – Half the width of standard tactile switches for better breadboard spacing
- Normally Open – Momentary contact closes only while pressed
- Breadboard Compatible – Fits directly into solderless breadboards
- PCB Mountable – Through-hole pins for easy soldering
Ideal For
- Arduino and microcontroller projects
- Breadboard prototyping
- User input, reset, and mode-select buttons
- Electronics learning and experimentation
Package Contents
- 20× Slim tactile switch buttons (6mm)
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
- solderless breadboard
- A reusable board with connected holes for building temporary circuits without soldering. It matters in beginner kits because students can change wiring quickly and safely while learning how components connect.
