SparkFun Blackberry Trackballer Breakout
Discontinued
A breakout board for the BlackBerry-style trackball that provides four-directional movement tracking, a centre click, and four built-in LEDs (white, red, green, blue) underneath the clear trackball. Connect it to any Arduino-compatible device for an intuitive, compact direction controller.
Four tiny spindles with magnets trigger paired hall-effect sensors for up, down, left, and right detection. An SMD momentary switch beneath the trackball registers clicks. The four LEDs can be mixed to light the trackball in any colour. A mounting PCB with standoffs is included to mechanically stabilise the assembly.
