RFM97C Mini Shield LoRa - 100mW

Discontinued

A compact LoRa transceiver mini shield built around the Semtech SX1276, designed to attach to Thing Plus format development boards. The RFM97C operates at 100 mW output power and is suited for long-range, low-power, low-data-rate communication (up to hundreds of metres at ~500 bps).

The board includes a PTH solder point for a wire antenna (~3" for 915 MHz) with a stress relief hole, plus a U.FL connector for attaching an external RP-SMA LoRa antenna when greater range is needed.

Key Features

  • SX1276 LoRa Transceiver – Long-range, low-power wireless communication
  • 100 mW Output – Suitable for extended range applications
  • Thing Plus Form Factor – Attaches to the top or bottom of Thing Plus boards
  • Dual Antenna Options – PTH wire antenna pad and U.FL connector for external antenna
  • RadioLib Compatible – Supports AX.25, Hellschreiber, Morse, RTTY, and SSTV protocols
Note: PCB revision x02 requires the DIO0 and DIO1 jumpers to be closed for proper LoRa operation. Close these jumpers when soldering headers.
SparkX Experimental Product: This is a rapidly produced experimental board. It is tested but comes with no guarantees or official technical support.

Ideal For

  • Long-range wireless sensor networks
  • LoRa point-to-point communication
  • Remote telemetry and IoT projects
