I don't think there's much that we can say about a Raspberry Pi 4 anymore. Yes, there are competitors, the "5" is more powerful than the "4", but for most of what I want, the "4" sits at an ideal price point. Well known, reliable (in my experience) and recently, quite easy to get. It's worth having one in the cupboard just in case.

Dual (micro)HDMI option is great - make sure you've got microHDMI to HDMI cables or adapters handy though.

Continuing the evolution of the RPi this is an excellent board. I'm using an older RPi 3B+ as a small home web server for WordPress and ownCloud, and this is to replace that unit - ownCloud imposes some heavy SQL loadings on the file synchronisation database. I selected the 4GB model as RAM is always important in delivering performance. The board worked first time with my Buster version of dietpi - though ownCloud (10.2.1) currently does not support php 7.3.x - so I'm waiting for 10.3 before completing the port from my 3B+ to 4B. ownCloud is currently disabled in the Buster release of dietpi - the server version isn't compatible with my Mac Mini either, due to the php 7.3.x issue. The board does run a little hot, so I'm looking to add a heatsink and a fan-cooled case, just to protect my investment. It's great to have USB 3 ports (important for my ownCloud "USB hard drive" and gigabit LAN capability. Without ownCloud installed I haven't had a chance to scope out the performance improvements. The ordering process from PiAustralia was simple, and delivery was blindingly quick (to inner city Sydney). Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Excellent, plenty of RAM for extra tasks.

I need the extra ram for my projects. It would even be nice if it had 8GB ram. Well see when the next release of Raspberry Pi comes out. But I like it still. I love the size of Raspberry Pi 4 Model B being so small. Saves me carrying about a laptop. It would have been nice if there was a WiFi aerial connector on the board to increase it range in reception and transmission.
