Looks like a great product

Looks like a great product. It came quickly. Online instructions are a little outdated as there is one additional thermal tape piece; but it’s simple to figure out where it should go by looking at the top aluminium piece. Happy customer.

Great little passive cooling device

Applied this to the new Raspberry Pi 4 and it works a treat! No fans to wear out and it does the job. the key chips are connected back to the aluminium heat sink via heat-conductive foam, so the chips should work just fine for most indoor applications, which is my situation.

Does it's job well

The good: It's solid and a very complete package. Looks pretty nice too. There are cutouts for the display and camera connectors. The bad: You can't actually attach cables to the camera and display connectors once the top cover is in place. You need to do that beforehand. I'm sure you're thinking "Just unscrew the cover", but there's adhesive thermal tape under it so I am not sure what's going to happen there.

Reduced CPU temperature by around 20 degrees C

My Raspberry PI 4 in the standard case was seeing CPU temperatures of between 65 and 75 degrees C (and sometimes up to 80 degrees C) which I was concerned about. I recently purchased one of these cases with the aim of moderating the high temperatures. I was pleased to find that the case reduced the operating temperatures by almost 20 degrees, and the CPU temperature now varies between approximately 45 and 55 degrees C. You can find a blog post about my experience with the case here: https://newadventuresinwi-fi.blogspot.com/2020/03/heatsink-case-for-raspberry-pi-4.html

Raspberry Pi 4 Aluminium Alloy Case With Cooling Heatsink

The supplied thermal tape disintegrated and was unusable. Otherwise a good heatsink.

This little item certainly takes the heat out of the Pi4.
