nOOds are flexible LED filaments made of dozens of micro LED diodes bonded together on an ultra-flexible metal backing and coated in colourful silicone for protection. They produce a warm, even glow similar to Edison-style LED bulbs and are perfect for creative lighting effects.

Running on just 3V, they're incredibly easy to use — connect to both ends with a current-limiting resistor (50 mA max recommended) and they light right up. Because they're essentially one long parallel LED, you can PWM dim them for adjustable brightness.

Key Features

  • Flexible Design – Bend, shape, and wrap around objects for creative lighting
  • 3V Operation – Simple to power from coin cells, batteries, or microcontrollers
  • PWM Dimmable – Easily adjust brightness with pulse-width modulation
  • Silicone Coated – Protected and safe to handle
  • Warm White Light – Soft, warm glow ideal for decorative applications

Specifications

  • Length – 130 mm
  • Voltage – 3V
  • Max Current – 50 mA (use a current-limiting resistor)
  • Colour – Warm White
  • Construction – Micro LEDs on flexible metal backing with silicone coating

Ideal For

  • Miniature sets, dioramas, and dollhouses
  • Decorative and ambient lighting
  • Wearable electronics and cosplay
  • Creative LED art projects

Package Contents

  • 1× nOOds Flexible LED Filament (130 mm, Warm White)
Tip: The anode is the metal end with a small hole. If the filament doesn't light up immediately, try reversing the connection.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
PWM
Pulse Width Modulation is a way for a digital pin to simulate variable output power by switching on and off very quickly. It matters for controlling things like LED brightness, motor speed, or servo-style signals from a microcontroller pin.
