The LilyPad Simblee BLE Board is a wearable development board that adds mobile app functionality to e-textile projects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0). Unlike other BLE solutions, the Simblee requires no specialised app development skills — all coding is done in the Arduino IDE and uploaded to a browser app on the phone.
Built around the Simblee RFD77101 module with an ARM Cortex M0 processor, the board includes a LiPo battery connector for portable use and an FTDI header for programming. A charge/power switch controls board power, and the LilyPad pads are large enough to sew with conductive thread or solder directly.
