The EM-506 is a 48-channel GPS receiver module from USGlobalSat, powered by the SiRF Star IV chipset. It includes onboard voltage regulation, an LED status indicator, battery-backed RAM, and a built-in patch antenna, making it a complete ready-to-use GPS solution.

With SiRF CGEE (Client Generated Extended Ephemeris) technology, the module predicts satellite positions for up to 3 days and achieves start times under 15 seconds in most conditions without network assistance. Its high sensitivity makes it suitable for use in urban canyons and dense foliage environments.
