The Flotilla Dock is the central hub of Pimoroni's Flotilla modular system. It connects to your Raspberry Pi via USB and provides eight ports for attaching Flotilla sensor and output modules. The onboard ATMEGA32A4U microcontroller handles communication between all connected modules and your Pi.

Each of the eight ports has a bright white activity LED, and three blue status LEDs indicate the dock's state. A sturdy acrylic case protects the board's components. Up to four docks can be used simultaneously on a Raspberry Pi 3 for large multi-module setups.

Key Features

  • 8 Module Ports – Connect up to 8 Flotilla modules simultaneously
  • ATMEGA32A4U Microcontroller – Manages module communication via serial USB
  • Port Activity LEDs – 8 white LEDs show activity on each port
  • Status LEDs – 3 blue LEDs for dock status indication
  • Acrylic Case – Protective enclosure included
  • Multi-Dock Support – Use up to 4 docks on a Raspberry Pi 3

Ideal For

  • Modular sensor and output projects with Raspberry Pi
  • STEM education and beginner programming
  • Rapid prototyping with Flotilla modules
  • Visual programming with Rockpool

Package Contents

  • 1× Flotilla Dock with acrylic case
Note: Flotilla modules, cables, and Raspberry Pi are sold separately. A USB-A to Micro-B cable is required to connect the Dock to your Pi.

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
