A lightweight, thin, and truly flexible solar panel rated at 1.5V / 250mA (0.5W). Unlike rigid solar panels, this one can be bent, sewn, or adhered to curved surfaces, making it perfect for wearable electronics, portable gear, and creative DIY projects.

The durable ETFE film construction is waterproof and resistant to corrosion, while the black fabric edges can be easily trimmed or sewn into clothing and fabric enclosures. Built with triple-junction amorphous silicon thin-film solar cells for reliable performance across a wide temperature range.

Key Features

  • Truly Flexible – Can be bent, sewn, or mounted on curved surfaces
  • Waterproof & Durable – ETFE film with corrosion and moisture resistance
  • Ultra-Thin & Lightweight – Just 0.5 mm thick and approximately 18 g
  • Sewable Edges – Black fabric border can be trimmed or stitched into textiles
  • Wide Temperature Range – Operates from −40°C to +80°C

Specifications

  • Operating Voltage – 1.5V
  • Operating Current – 250 mA
  • Open Circuit Voltage – 2.0V
  • Short Circuit Current – 420 mA
  • Power Output – 0.5W
  • Cell Type – Flexible triple-junction amorphous silicon thin film
  • Encapsulation – High-transmittance ETFE film with fast-curing EVA adhesive
  • Dimensions – 165 × 38 × 0.5 mm (195 × 58 mm including black edges)
  • Weight – 18 g ± 2 g
Note: Electrical performance parameters are measured under standard test conditions: light intensity 1000 W/m², spectrum AM1.5, cell temperature 25°C.

Ideal For

  • Wearable electronics and e-textiles
  • Portable and camping power solutions
  • IoT sensor nodes and remote monitoring
  • DIY solar-powered projects

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

e-textiles
Electronic textiles are fabrics or clothing that include electrical parts such as conductive thread, sensors, LEDs, or small controllers. This matters because parts for e-textiles need to survive bending, sewing, and sometimes washing.
IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
Transmittance
Transmittance describes how much light passes through the display or touch panel layers. Higher transmittance can make the screen appear brighter or clearer for the same backlight power.
