This compact ceramic resonator provides a 16 MHz timing source for microcontroller and digital electronics projects. It functions much like a crystal, while offering a lower-cost option for designs that do not need external load capacitors.
The resonator is supplied in a surface-mount package, making it suitable for compact PCBs and reflow assembly. Its built-in capacitors help simplify your board layout and reduce the number of external parts required.
With operation specified across -40°C to 85°C, it is suited to a range of embedded electronics applications where a simple 16 MHz clock source is needed.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
- Tolerance
- Tolerance tells you how far the real resistance value may be from the printed value. A 1% resistor is useful when a circuit needs more predictable behaviour than a looser 5% or 10% part.
