This passive heatsink is made for the LattePanda IOTA, giving the board a quiet, fanless way to shed heat during sustained high-load operation.
The thickened aluminium alloy body uses expanded volume and precision-machined fins to increase thermal capacity and heat dissipation area. The included high-performance thermal paste helps transfer heat from the processor and spread it evenly through the heatsink.
To install it, apply an even layer of thermal paste to the processor, then mount the heatsink onto the back of the LattePanda board and secure it with the supplied screws and standoffs. The package includes one LattePanda IOTA Fanless Heatsink and one Heatsink Accessory Kit.
This heatsink is designed exclusively for the LattePanda IOTA. Power the board off before installing or removing it, and avoid direct skin contact with the heatsink while in use as it may become hot.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- passive heatsink
- A heatsink is a piece of metal shaped to draw heat away from a hot component, and passive means it works without a fan. This matters because it can keep a processor cooler and quieter, but the case itself may become hot during use.
- TDP
- TDP, or thermal design power, is a guide to how much heat a processor’s cooling system is expected to handle. Checking the TDP rating helps you decide whether a heatsink or case is suitable for the board and workload you plan to use.
