Reviews of Adafruit BME280 I2C or SPI Temperature Humidity Pressure Sensor

Verified buyer

The supplied board is fitted with a pair of "Grove" connectors whereas the board pictured at https://littlebirdelectronics.com.au/products/adafruit-bme280-i2c-or-spi-temperature-humidity-pressure-sensor does not. If the intended environmental housing is tightly dimensioned, this might be an inconvenience to some purchasers.

Hi Robert, thanks for calling this out and explaining how the extra Grove connectors can affect tight enclosures. It looks like Adafruit did a silent board revision and reused the same SKU, which is why the photo didn’t match what you received. We’ve now updated the product images on our site to reflect the current version. If this causes any issues for your project, please reach out to our support team so we can help.

Good, but sensitive to heat

I've found the BME280 a tad sensitive to heat from the environment and heat generated by itself. When using the BME280 I've found it best to keep it as far away from other components as possible to limit heat conduction.
