This wide angle add-on lens is made for the Raspberry Pi High Quality 12MP Camera, giving you a broader view for capturing larger areas in a single shot.
It is well suited to CCTV-style projects, wildlife cameras, security cameras, doorbell cams and similar builds where a wider field of view is useful. As with many wide angle lenses, video or images may appear distorted around the edges as more of the scene is fitted onto the sensor.
A thumbscrew is included so the lens can be quickly and easily assembled onto the HQ Camera Board. Please note that although this model is marked “6mm 3MP”, the 3MP does not refer to the megapixels of the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera, which remains a 12MP camera.
