This 4.2" e-paper display from SparkFun uses black, white, and red pigments on a 400 × 300 pixel matrix. Like the screens found in e-readers, it offers excellent visibility from nearly any angle, even in direct sunlight, with ultra-low power consumption — the display retains its image even when power is disconnected.
This is a bare display panel without a driver board, making it suitable for custom integrations where you provide your own controller. The display takes approximately 14 seconds to refresh, making it ideal for applications where information is updated infrequently.
