A 1 kg spool of sky blue PLA filament in the standard 1.75 mm diameter, suitable for most desktop 3D printers. The larger spool size is ideal for bigger prints and extended use.

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugarcane. It produces minimal odour when printing and is one of the most environmentally friendly filament options available.

Key Features

  • Diameter – 1.75 mm ± 0.1 mm
  • Net Weight – 1 kg (gross weight 1.36 kg including spool)
  • Colour – Sky Blue
  • Recommended Nozzle Temperature – 215 °C to 225 °C
  • Biodegradable – Made from renewable plant-based resources

Material Properties

  • Tensile Strength @ Yield – 46 MPa
  • Tensile Elongation @ Break – 20%
  • Flexural Strength – 70 MPa
  • Flexural Modulus – 3212 MPa
  • Notched Izod Impact (23 °C) – 5.2 kJ/m²
  • HDT @ 66 psi – 58 °C
  • Density – 1.31 g/cm³
  • MFR – 10–14 g/10 min

Ideal For

  • Desktop FDM/FFF 3D printers with 1.75 mm extruders
  • Larger prints and extended print runs
  • Prototyping, models, and decorative prints
  • Users who prefer a low-odour, plant-based filament

Package Contents

  • 1× Spool of sky blue PLA filament (1 kg)
Tip: Optimal nozzle temperature varies between printers. Start at 215 °C and adjust in small increments to find the best setting for your machine.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

PLA
PLA, or polylactic acid, is a common 3D-printer plastic made from plant-derived materials. It matters because PLA is easy to print with low warping, but it is more brittle and less heat-resistant than some other filament types.
