WiFiBee-MT7681 (Support Arduino WiFi Wireless Programming)
Discontinued
The WiFiBee MT7681 is an XBee-compatible Wi-Fi module based on the MediaTek MT7681 chip. It plugs into any standard XBee socket to add Wi-Fi networking to your project, and supports wireless Arduino programming — upload sketches over Wi-Fi without a USB cable.
Supporting IEEE 802.11b/g/n with WEP/WPA/WPA2 encryption, the module operates in both STA (station) and AP (access point) modes. It communicates via UART serial and can be configured using AT commands. Three breakout I/O ports with software PWM support make it useful as a Wi-Fi remote control as well.
Key Features
- XBee Form Factor – Drop-in replacement for any XBee socket
- Arduino Wireless Programming – Upload code over Wi-Fi, no USB cable needed
- IEEE 802.11b/g/n – 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with 14 channels
- STA and AP Modes – Connect to a router or create its own access point
- SmartLink – Intelligent connection via companion app (Android)
- OTA Firmware Upgrade – Update firmware over the air
- 3× I/O Ports – With software PWM output support
- AT Command Configuration – Set parameters via serial terminal
