Vernier Sensor - Motion Detector
Discontinued
The Vernier Motion Detector is an ultrasonic sensor designed for educational science experiments. It measures the position, velocity, and acceleration of moving objects — from walking individuals and bouncing balls to swinging pendulums — making it an essential tool for physics and STEM classrooms.
With a detection range of 15 cm to 6 m and 1 mm resolution, the sensor delivers high-quality data for analysis. A pivoting head allows you to adjust the angle of detection, and a sensitivity switch helps optimise data quality for different scenarios. The sensor connects via a British Telecom (BT) connector and is compatible with Vernier interfaces and Arduino.
